Rites of Spring Music Festival Presents to You: 
"Music & Tell"
A virtual performance series hosted on Saturdays  in May, June and July 2020

Launched in 2016 by founder, Paolo Bartolani, the focus of ROSMF has been to expand its music in new, compelling, and adventurous ways. With the challenge of stay-home orders and closed venues, ROSMF has expanded their creative forces to present “Music & Tell” a virtual performance series hosted in 45-minute sessions on Zoom. Music & Tell is aimed to expand the mission of ROSMF and create a stronger sense of identity while investing in the passion and artistry of classical and contemporary artists. 

“We have found ourselves moved and inspired by the many musicians connected with our festival. Music is essentially a human relationship, we can communicate our inner world through contact with the other person,” Paolo Bartolani. “To me, that is the essence of music: a reflection of the soul through sound. Living in particular times like these, music allows us to see the extraordinary in the ordinary. We cannot recall a more important time to share such sustenance”.

Brian Bak is an excellent violin player that will present a potpourri of short music works and intimate baroque's melodies and romantic
songs by Handel, Dvorak, Kreisler.

                Best piano works by Takemitsu and Fauré              
                    Ben Makino, piano       
Intimate piano pieces by Toru Takemitsu and Gabriel Fauré performed by music conductor and pianist Benjamin Makino.
An interesting way to explore the music of two major composers of XX century.

Meet the composer.... Christopher Cerrone
ROSMF invites  ‘rising star’ Christopher Cerrone to present his music and tell us about the many sources of inspiration: literature, visual arts, multimedia.
This is the inaugural episode dedicated to contemporary composers to present their esthetics and their vision of contemporary life.
