This is a community event promoted by Patchogue Arts Council in Patchogue where iconic buildings of the town are enlightened with projection of images and lights of visual artists. The performance is planned to be indoors at the MOCA L.I. Gallery.

Guilherme Batalha, clarinet
Born in 1997, Portuguese clarinetist Guilherme Batalha completed his undergraduate studies at the National Academy of Advanced Orchestral Studies in Lisbon under Prof. Nuno Silva. After moving to the United States in 2018, he received his Master of Music degree and Artist Diploma at the California State University Fullerton, under the tutelage of Håkan Rosengren, Burt Hara, and Andrew Lowy. Guilherme has been awarded in several competitions such as the Second prize at the Citá di Carlino International Clarinet Competition in Italy and the Second prize at the Prémio Jovens Músicos in Portugal. Additionally, he was the Grand Prize Winner at the CSUF Concerto Competition, the First prize winner at the Southern California Philharmonic Concerto Competition, the winner of the Stony Brook Concerto Competition, and many more. He has participated in masterclasses given by well-renowned clarinetists such as Yehuda Gilad, Michele Zukovsky, Joaquin Valdepeñas, Pascal Moraguès, and Philippe Cuper. Guilherme has collaborated with ensembles such as City of London Sinfonia, Gabrieli Consort & Players, Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra, and New Music Ensemble of Póvoa de Varzim. He is currently a Doctor of Musical Arts student at Stony Brook University, studying with Alan Kay.
Alex Burns, double bass
Alexander Burns is a multi-instrumentalist with a passion for teaching. Alex holds a B.S. in music education from Hofstra University and is currently working towards his Master’s degree at Stony Brook University. He has a broad knowledge of many instruments, but specializes in bass, cello, and guitar. His goal is to help students develop the tools that allow them to succeed as musicians, ultimately empowering them to learn, refine, and master the skills they will need to be their best
