Friday, July 24th, 2026, Evening Concert at 6:00 PM Songs of the Sea featuring Early Gray the Band Owen Dodds, pianist & Drake Duffer, guitarist/mandolinist Early Gray is a duo formed by pianist Owen Dodds and guitarist/mandolinist Drake Duffer. Self-described as “modern folk”, Early Gray began as an experimental duo by two classical musicians, and what started as pure improvisation spun into fully developed vocal and instrumental compositions. Mudflats Band An evening of maritime-inspired songs about the sea The Mudflats String Band is a popular 8-piece musical group from Long Island's North Fork. They perform an energetic blend of Appalachian, Americana, and Celtic folk, featuring twin fiddles, banjo, mandolin, guitar, upright bass, and drums. |

Mozze Trio
The Mozze Trio brings together Korean-Israeli violinist Hudson Chung, Brazilian cellist Gustavo Antoniacomi, and American pianist Owen Dodds. Named after a Hebrew word meaning “to discover,” The Mozze Trio embodies a spirit of exploration in their music-making. Founded in fall 2024, the trio is currently in residence at Stony Brook University, where all three members are doctoral candidates. They have worked closely with musicians including Gilbert Kalish, Arnaud Susman, Colin Carr, and Phil Setzer. The Mozze Trio has appeared in concerts presented by the Macdowell Series, Arts at Ardmore, Buzz2a, and the Rites of Spring Festival. After winning First Prize at the Long Island Conservatory Chamber Music Competition, the trio will make its debut at Carnegie Hall’s Zankel Hall next season.

AFTERNOON SCREENING SUNDAY, July 26th, 2026, 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM Film Screening Drifters by John Grierson with an original improvised music score by Early Gray the Band The only film ever directed personally by John Grierson. A documentary made for the Empire Marketing Board about the men of the British herring fleets. ‘Drifters’ brought to the screen the labor of the North Sea herring fleet in such a way that the ordinary man or woman was made to realize, perhaps for the first time, that the herring on his plate was no mere accident, but the result of the labor and courage of other men. |

THE BAND
Chart Guthrie - Chart Guthrie has been calling dances for thirty-five years and dancing since he was in fifth grade. He has
called dances from Maine to Washington DC but calls primarily on Long Island. His easygoing style and clear
teaching technique gets even beginners up dancing before they know it. Chart always works with live music. He
has worked with many different bands and can arrange for the proper band for the occasion.
Larry Moser - hammered dulcimer, cittern, English concertina, accordion.
Larry has played old time songs and tunes for over fifty years, solo and with groups.
Mary Nagin - fiddle
Mary has been playing old time music on fiddle for at least twenty years, with Larry Moser and others. Mary is also a painter in traditional media and teaches art privately and with the Art League Of Long Island, in person and online.
Max Rowland - banjo, minstrel banjo, anglo-concertina, accordion
Max has been immersed in old time culture, including Civil War reenactment, for most of his life. One of his specialties is the 1800s minstrel banjo, strung with gut strings, and tuned lower than the modern banjo. The band’s youngest member, his energy comes through in powerful playing on all of his instruments. He also has a strong singing voice and is expert in sea shanties.
