The musicians
Chloe Chung, pianist
Chloe Chung, a Hong-Kong born classical pianist, is currently pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance under the tutelage of Gilbert Kalish, while serving as an undergraduate course faculty at State University of New York at Stony Brook. As the bronze medalist of the International Chopin Piano Competition in Asia, she has performed internationally including Vienna, Salzburg, North Carolina, Indianapolis, Vancouver, South Africa, Japan, Taiwan, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hong Kong. With over 7 years of teaching experience, she aspires to provide mentorships to young musicians, helping them achieve infinite possibilities with their lively imaginations.
Nayoung Kim, pianist
South Korean pianist Nahyoung Kim, with astonishing tone and color along with her exclusive musicality and technicality, is building her reputation as a soloist, chamber musician, and collaborative pianist. Debuting in 2009 with the Gimpo Philharmonic Orchestra, Kim earned a Bachelor of Music from the Seoul National University under Aviram Reichert, Ick-Choo Moon, and a Master of Music from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University under Benjamin Pasternack. She has appeared in professional venues throughout Asia and North America including Tel-Hai Evens Hall, Horowitz Arts Center- Monteabaro Hall, Seoul Arts Center- Recital Hall, and Fazioli Concert at the Seoul National University. She has been awarded the Clara Asherfield Award, the Jung-Ju Oh Award, the Shilla Cultural Scholarship. She is currently based in Long Island, NY, where she serves as an instructor for undergraduate music classes and a chamber music coach at Stony Brook University, pursuing her doctoral degree under the tutelage of Gilbert Kalish.
Ji Hae Yun, pianist
Born in South Korea, Ji Hae Yun graduated with both a Bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Piano Performance from Dongduk Women’s University. Her master’s thesis was titled “A Study on R. Schumann’s Humoreske, Op. 20.” In 2014, she attended the International Music Festival in Casalmaggiore, Italy, and a Piano Master Class in Katowice, Poland, where she met Kum Sing Lee. Following this, she studied with Kum Sing Lee at the Vancouver Academy of Music, completing a four-year Artist Diploma. She also participated in the D.E.P.A. program with Jean Saulnier at the Université de Montréal, Canada.
In 2022, she moved to Florida to pursue a second master’s degree at the University of South Florida under Professor Svetozar Ivanov. A highlight of her studies at USF was being a member of the Rebecca Penneys Chamber Collectives, where she expanded her chamber music repertoire.
In the summer of 2023, she traveled to Europe for music festivals. In Northern Ireland, she received the Culture Ireland Award for the best performance of the commissioned Irish piece Saint Francis by Elaine Agnew. In Italy, she was awarded the Rutenberg Series Award with her piano trio, comprised of participants from the Brancaleoni Music Festival. As a result, the trio was invited to perform as guest artists at the Steinway Piano Series/Rutenberg Chamber Series in Tampa in 2024. Upon graduating from USF, she was honored with the Exemplary Student Award.
In 2024, she was accepted into Christina Dahl’s studio at Stony Brook University, where she currently serves as Head Piano TA.

Muli Yu, pianist
Muli Yu is a doctoral student in piano performance at Stony Brook University, where she studies under the guidance of Gilbert Kalish. She earned her Master of Music degree from Stony Brook University and her Bachelor of Music degree from Biola University, where she studied with Dr. Li-Shan Hung. Having begun her piano studies at the age of four, Muli has performed extensively throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area—including the U.S. Department of State headquarters—as well as around the United States at venues such as Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, and internationally at the Museo del Violino in Cremona, Italy. Through her performances, she seeks to connect with listeners on a heartfelt level—offering comfort, shared understanding, and a reflection of God’s beauty and glory through music.
